LAHORE: Officials of the Department of Excise and Taxation Motor Branch and other departments are allegedly involved in malpractice and corruption.
The department has started investigation against such elements to eliminate corruption from the department. According to sources, Excise has started investigation against data entry operator Muhammad Atif, two officials of IT department includes Muhammad Adrees and Shahbaz and DEMO Muhammad Jamil.
Another motor branch clerk Muhammad Faruq, was also allegedly involved in male practice and corruption.
These corrupt officers have cause the loss of Rs 8 millions to the national kitty. They received money from public but did not deposit it to the national treasury. Number of other officials are also involved in corruption and department is eager to take strict action against all such so called officers who are damaging the image of the department and are causing huge loss to the national exchequer.
