MULTAN: The Multan Excise and Taxation Department has decided to begin crackdown against the open transfer of vehicles in the city. Different teams have been formed for the action against the open transfer of vehicles in various Divisions of the Lodhran, Khanewal, Vehari, and Multan.

Withholding and income tax on the sale and purchase of vehicles is decreasing Excise and Taxation Department’s revenue. Citizens prefer the agreement of their sale and purchase vehicle through dealers. People tend to keep their vehicles on open transfer to avoid withholding and income tax.
