Excise unseals PCSIR lab on assurance of payment soon

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department has unsealed Pakistan Councils of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) laboratory Lahore on assurance to pay their default amount.

Sources told Customs Today that the Excise Region B team on special instructions of Director General Akram Ashraf Gondal sealed the PCSIR Laboratory due to Rs 20 million default of property tax.

Sources told that after assurance of the laboratory authorities and their discussions with DG Akram Ashraf Gondal, laboratory has unsealed now.

Earlier, the Excise had issued many notices to management of the laboratory but they but they failed to clear tax dues. Now they unsealed the building on assurance of payment of default amount of tax which is Rs 2 million.
