Expo Pakistan to start on Nov 9

SIALKOT: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is finalising necessary arrangements for holding a four-day mega event of 10th Expo-Pakistan on November 9 in Karachi.

TDAP sources said that that Expo Pakistan was the biggest trade fair in Pakistan showcasing the largest collection of Pakistan’s export merchandise and services. Foreign exhibitors from neighboring countries also use this platform for displaying their products.

The annual four-day Expo has become primary sourcing point for a large number of businesses worldwide and giving them a head start on buying and ordering for coming seasons. The success of last Expo-Pakistan in 2015 was manifested by the participation of large number of local and foreign buyers who settled business deals estimated at around US 1.2 billion dollars.

Highlighting the achievements of Expo-Pakistan 2015, the sources said that business generated over US 1.2 billion dollars, over 70 MoUs were signed among counterparts, chambers and associations, participation of over 1,100 buyers from more than 77 countries, 20,000 business visitors were present to witness the events.

A large number of businessmen of Sialkot engaged with surgical instruments, diagnostic equipment, hospital beds and wheelchair, dental equipment and beauty care instruments, soccer balls, cricket kits, hockey sticks, basketball kits, tennis rackets and martial arts products, leather gloves, Footwear, leather garments, leather accessories and tanned leather.  The sources further told that textile, food and ingredients engineering, auto and auto parts services, mineral and metal, home decor, gems and jewellery and herbal items, cosmetics  would be showcased in Expo-Pakistan 2017.
