Export Collector Manzoor writes to Chief Collector Nasir about shortage of staff

KARACHI: The affairs of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Export are badly affecting due to an acute shortage of staff, including examiners, appraisers and principal appraisers, it is learnt.

Sources informed Customs Today that MCC Export Collector Manzoor Hussain Memon has written a letter to Appraisement-South Chief Collector Nasir Masroor Ahmed to depute examiners, appraisers and principal appraisers in the collectorate.

Sources said that the routine affairs of the collectorate were being affected badly by the shortage of staff, adding that the Export MCC was not able to initiate new tasks and assignments to improve the working.

Collector Manzoor Hussain Memon confirmed that the routine affairs of the collectorate were being affected by the shortage of staff, including examiners, appraisers and principal appraisers.

To a question, Memon said that he has written to the chief collectorto take notice of the shortage of manpower. He said further the collectorate was making utmost efforts to increase the country’s foreign exchange through exports by utilizing available resources.
