To a query, the sources disclosed that the entire module would likely to be completed by June-2015, which would bring transparency in verification of E-form from bank side.

The sources further said that the authorities concerned of MCC-Export will also give a detail briefing about the export module to the Chief Collector-Enforcement-South Muhammad Nazim Saleem today, while the authorities concerned of Reforms and Automation would also present on the occasion.

They further said that FBR has taken the said decision pertaining to the online verification of Form-E through WeBOC, after unearthing the use of fake E-form in gold smuggling scam.

The sources further said that the pilot project pertaining to export module would be prepared by the end of March, although it would be fully operational by the end of June-2015.

“The FRB authorities concerned are eager to eliminate the use of fake E-form and due to this the high-ups have asked Reforms and Automation and Export Collectorate to mutually take some effective measures in order to switch the exports from One Customs (manual system) to WeBOC, automated system”, sources added.
