KARACHI: As the export operation is kicked-off from Gwadar Port, the government is still unable to complete its Gawadar Export Processing Zone project. Sources in the Export Processing Zone Authority told Customs Today that a committee was formed which had selected a site for the construction of Gwadar Export Processing Zone.
After the passage of time some objections were raised about the location of the site and the government is looking for a suitable site for the construction of the zone.
Sources said that the Export Processing Zone Authority is fully responsible for delay in the establishment of the zone and as a result of which the exporters are facing problems.
