KARACHI: Exports in August 2019 have witnessed a record drop of 7.6 percent as compared with August 2018. As per details, exports in August 2019 clocked at $1.859 billion versus $2.013 billion of August 2018.
On the other hand imports in August 2019 as compared with August 2018 recorded a drop of 26%. Imports in August 2019 clocked at $3.658 billion versus $4.961 billion of August last year.
Trade deficit in August 2019 as compared with August 2018 shrinked by 39 percent trade deficit in August 2019 clocked at $1.799 billion versus $2.94 billion of August. 2018.
Exports in July to August 2019 gained 2.8 percent to $3.753 billion while imports in July to August 2019 dropped 21 percent to $7.677 billion.
