KIEV:  During three recent seasons, Ukraine counties steadily increasing the production volumes of rapeseed oil, due to both significant increasing of processing capacities at oil-producing enterprises, and the strong demand for the commodity on the world market, declared the analyst at APK-Inform Agency, Andrew Kupchenko on November 6 during his report at the conference “Fat-and-Oil Industry -2015” in Odessa.

In particular, the forecast of production of rapeseed oil production in Ukraine in 2015/16 MY totals 129 thsd tonnes, up 29% compared with the previous season (105 thsd tonnes). At the same time, Ukraine exports almost all produced volumes, the expert said.

Also, the global market environment supports the further positive development of the industry segment, which is characterized with decreasing of global demand for rapeseed and stable demand for rapeseed oil.

Thus, to date China (in July-September of 2015/16 MY, the country purchased 33% of the Ukrainian commodity supplies) and India (15%) are the major importers of Ukrainian rapeseed oil, and the most promising markets. Therefore, it is appropriate to further increase rapeseed oil production in Ukraine and its exports, concluded the analyst.
