KIEV: In January-June of 2014 the exports of Ukrainian agricultural commodities increased totaled 16.7 bln USD, declared Oleksiy Pavlenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on July 15, according to APK Inform.
Meanwhile he noted that the significant part of the sum was the income from non resource exports.
According to O.Pavlenko Ukraine has all the preconditions for non resource commodities production increase ready for exports. These are favorable geographic location, large fertile agricultural lands (over 41 mln ha), water resources, optimal average distance to the port (300 km), high-qualified labour power.
He added that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine plans to increase the non resource commodities production in 3 times by 2020.
