NEW YORK: Your Facebook feed is about to get a lot more musical. The social network is rolling out a new post format that lets people listen to 30-second clips of shared songs. Called Music Stories, Facebook said it has been designed to enable ‘better music discovery and sharing,’ but critics may claim it’s a way to make money. Previews will be streamed from Apple Music and Spotify, with fans able to buy or save tracks in the music services. While the new service may be music to some users’ ears, others could find unwelcome musical recommendations clogging up their feed.
