SYDNEY: Facebook is going to buy an online shopping search engine called TheFind, a shopping search engine but Facebook faces problems to start this setup so, its means it won’t be serving up its convenient shopping search results soon. Facebook officials announced they will be using TheFind’s existing technology and services to offer better and appropriate converting ads.
The Social networking giant Facebook has acquired shopping search engine Thefind to make its ads more relevant.
“We’re excited to welcome TheFind to Facebook. TheFind’s talented team has built a successful search engine that connects people to products. Together, we believe we can make the Facebook ads experience even more relevant and better for consumers,” Facebook said in a statement.
Facebook plans to shutter TheFind “in the next few weeks,” according to TheFind.
TheFind launched in 2006. The concept: to make the shopping experience easier by searching for products in all of the stores on the Web. The comparison shopping site used Facebook “Likes,” clicks on TheFind.com and past shopping searches to customize searches and help shoppers find what they want faster.
