Factories inspection by tax officials abolished in Punjab

LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has approved abolishing of factories inspection by tax officials, allowing the owners to submit tax returns on their own under self-assessment scheme.

The chief minister said here the end of such inspections would ensure ease in doing business in the province. He hoped the process of industrialization would be expedited, investment would increase and new employment opportunities would be generated. Buzdar said the online registration facilities for the factor owners would soon be offered.

He said industrial zoning would also be undertaken in the province and an implementation committee for the purpose had been constituted.
