Fahad Bashir decides to monitor weekly performance of ASO

SIALKOT: Assistant Collector and Incharge of Anti-Smuggling Organization of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Sialkot Chaudhary Fahad Bashir has decided to monitor weekly performance of the organization to make it more efficient.

Talking to Customs Today, he said that he would review the strategies adopted by officials to curb smuggling in the Gujranwala region. He said that he observed the performance of superintendents, deputy superintendents and inspectors of the ASO. Meanwhile, the officials of the ASO have been directed to discuss the matters directly with the assistant collector instead of writing letters to the headquarters.

The Incharge ASO will monitor the performance of ASO Sialkot, Gujranwala, Gujrat and others areas to improve the anti-smuggling activities in the region. However, ASO officials have been deputed at main points in the jurisdiction to hold the smuggled items and vehicles.

He said that the monitoring of ASO is already in progress but the higher authorities of Custom Department has instructed that the Inchage ASO should make monitoring every week then I decided to compliance of instructions of Higher authorities of department. He added that the ASO Sialkot performance is satisfactory while the ASO is also making performance much better day by day to curb smuggling from the region. The department has tightened noose around the smugglers. He said that the public should co-operate with ASO to curb smuggling because the ASO has vowed to eradicate the smugglers from the region and ASO will must success in his mission soon.
