Faisalabad Adjudication Addl. Collector Saima adjourns 11 smuggling cases

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Saima Aftab adjourned 11 cases of smuggling involving Rs 18.9 million until April 6, 2016.

The adjudication adjourned a case against Farhan Saleem regarding seized generator of 600 KVA involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 1.587 million, a case against Muhammad Iqbal and Muhammad Akram allegedly involved in smuggling of cardamom involving Rs 1.12 million, a case against Samar Abbas regarding seized generator of 400 KVA and Mazda Truck involving Rs 2.641 million and another case of confiscated cumin seed and black pepper involving Rs 1.27 million. All the cases were made by Faisalabad Anti-Smuggling Organisation.

The adjudication issued notices to Zafar Ali in a confiscated Hino Ranger Truck involving amounting Rs 1.708 million, Akhtar Shah, a suspect in a non-duty paid Toyota RAV 4 Jeep case involving Rs 2.185 million, Iqbal Niazi for allegedly bringing Toyota Hilux Surf into country without payment of taxes involving Rs 2.325 million, Mirza Afzal Khan involved in smuggling of a Toyota Vitz car involving Rs 1.092 million and Khalid Dad in a Toyota Corolla -X car case involving Rs 1.639 million. These cases were lodged by Khushab ASO.

Besides, the adjudication also issued to notice to two unknown accused persons to attend the hearing.
