Faisalabad Adjudication generates Rs 318.32m in eight months

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication has recovered Rs 318.132 millions in eight months (from July 2015 to February 2016). The adjudication collected the revenue by deciding 290 cases.

Sources informed Customs Today that the Faisalabad Adjudication issued Order-in-Original (OnOs) in all cases in favour of Anti-Smuggling Organization and Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

Sources said that most of the cases were related to smuggling of oil, cloth, tea, auto parts, Iranian diesel, Rani juice, Toyota Corolla, and other items.

Sources told that customs adjudication Collector Raja Tahir Majeed decided  24 case involving Rs 159.666 millions, while Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan settled 41 cases involving Rs 71.410 Millions. However Deputy Collector  Asma Hameed solved 225 Cases involving Rs 87.056 millions and announced decisions in favour of customs investigation and ASO.
