Faisalabad Adjudication recovers 6.932m in September

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Camp Office has disposed only six various seizure cases after adjudicating involving Rs 6.932million during the month of September-2017.

Sources told Customs Today, that Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad has decided as many as four seizure cases forwarded by Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigation in their various anti smuggling activities. These cases were related to evasion of customs duty to the tune of Rs6.610 million during the month of September. These seizure cases included foreign origin cloth, vehicles, tyres auto parts and miscellaneous goods.

Whereas, Deputy Collector Saima Ayaz settled two different seizure cases in favor of tax department and issued Order in Originals  (ONOs) in favor of taxpayers after adjudication process involving tax evasion Rs0.322 million.

Furthermore Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig has decided eight seizure cases of Rs61.325 million available for hearing in the Collectorate.

Due to recent reshuffling in the Customs Collectorate hearing of seizure cases there is unnecessary delay in the Customs Adjudication is being witnessed.
