The ASO team intercepted a truck bearing registration No. TKA-387 loaded with Iranian Polyethylene (HDPE) being supplied to Lahore from Quetta.

The officials asked the driver to produce documents regarding the legal import of the consignment on which driver provided a receipt issued by New 786 Transport Company, Quetta but the agency seized the goods by rejecting the import documents on some observations.

However, Additional Collector Amjad, after examining the case record thoroughly and also hearing the oral as well as written contentions and submissions of both the sides, said “It has been proved beyond any doubt that, the seized goods are legally imported into the country after payment of customs duty and other taxes at the time of import.”
