Faisalabad Adjudication settles 286 cases involving Rs 352m in 9 months

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication decided almost 286 cases involving collected Rs 352.832 million during the first nine months of current financial year 2015-16.

All the Orders-in-Original (ONOs) in the cases were issued in the favour of the Faisalabad Customs Anti-Smuggling organisation (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

The department heard cases of smuggled vehicles, cloth, generator, ceramic tiles, diesel and oil and others miscellaneous items during the said period.

According to details, Customs Adjudication Collector Raja Tahir Majeed settled 26 cases involving Rs 174.666 million, while Additional Collector Beelam Ur Ramzan decided 45 cases involving Rs 84.57 million.

Meanwhile, Deputy Collector Asma Hameed solved 215 cases involving Rs 93.596 million and announced decision in favour of customs department.
