Faisalabad Adjudication settles 29 cases involving Rs 49m in June

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Customs Adjudication Collectorate settled as many as 29 cases involving Rs 49.111 million during June 2016.

The Customs Adjudication issued Order-in-Originals (ONOs) in favour of Faisalabad Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigations. It heard 29 cases of cloth, Indian origin food grains, Iranian diesel, cell phones, carpets, auto parts, Toyota Corolla, Liqour, cigarettes and Toys, which were confiscated during different raids by the customs authorities.

According to monthly statement, Faisalabad Adjudication Collector Raja Tahir Majeed decided 5 cases involving customs duty amounting to Rs 34.077, while Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan settled 7 cases involving Rs 9.057 million. Whereas Deputy Collector Asma Hameed decided 17 cases involving Rs 5.977 million and announced decision in favour of Customs Intelligence and Investigation and ASO.
