Faisalabad Appraisement collects Rs 1,723.06 million in June

FAISALABAD: The Customs Appraisement has collected around Rs 1,723.06 million, at least 96 percent percent extra, during the month of June 2016 against the set target of Rs 881.13 million.

According to the official data available with Customs Today, Rs 422.83 million were collected under the head of customs duty in June against the set target of Rs 381.19 million, while under the head of sales tax Customs Appraisement collected Rs 1,265.12 million against the set target of Rs 483.45 million.

Moreover, Rs28.12 million were collected under the head of income tax against the assigned target of Rs16.49 million in June. The Customs Appraisement collected Rs6.99 million as federal excise duty (FED).

Deputy Collector Pirzada Omar Qasmi says that Customs Appraisement Faisalabad already send notices to a number of tax defaulters in recent months asking them to clear outstanding tax dues at the earliest to avoid stern action.
