Faisalabad Appraisement collects Rs 9,375.77m in fiscal year 2015-16

FAISALABAD: The Customs Appraisement has exceeded revenue collection target by 123 percent during fiscal year 2015-16.

Sources told Customs Today that under the dynamic leadership of Collector Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary, the Appraisement branch surpassed the revenue target for the fiscal year 2015-16 by 123 percent, as it collected Rs 9,375.77 million against the assigned target of Rs 7,639.73 million.

Sources said that Customs Appraisement was assigned sales tax collection target of Rs4623.22 mllions but it surpassed the target by 162 percent, as it collected Rs7494.23 million during the said period.

Under the head of customs duty customs Appraisement collected Rs 1563.63 million against the target of Rs 2559.08 million.

Customs Appraisement also successfully generated Rs276.01 million under the head of income tax against the assigned target of Rs 390.98 million,  Faisalabad Appraisement also collected Rs 41.90 million in wake of federal excise duty against the target of Rs 66.45 million.

It is necessary to mention here that Chairman FBR Nisar Mohammad Khan specially lauded the performance of Faisalabad collectorate for surpassing revenue collection target fiscal year 2105-16.
