Faisalabad Appraisement earns Rs 874.817m in twenty days

FAISALABAD: The Customs Collectorate Appraisement collected Rs 874.817 million during first twenty days of November against the set target of Rs 1165.81 million surpassing it by 78 percent.

The Customs Appraisement generated revenue under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty (FED) during the above said period.

According to the statistics available data with Customs Today, it collected Rs 230.281 million as customs duty against the set target of Rs 294.76 million.

The Collectorate also achieved the target set for sales tax as it collected Rs 637.047 million against the set target of Rs864.61 million which is more than 74 percent.

Customs Appraisement also collected Rs7.452 millions under the head of income tax during the above said period against the set target of Rs 6.38 million and surpassed the target by Rs 63%. It collected Rs 0.038 million in wake of federal excise duty (FED) against set target Rs 0.06 million.

Customs Appraisement Assistant Collector Ameer Ahmed said that the customs department has already send notices to a number of tax defaulters in recent months asking them to clear outstanding tax dues at the earliest to avoid stern action.
