Faisalabad ASO confiscates Electric cable, Mazda Truck Worth Rs1.5m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti Smuggling Organization ( ASO ) Faisalabad seized foreign origin electric cable A.B.C brand made in China multicore round shape ( 1475-kg ), valued at Rs 8,85000 and also impounded Mazda Truck Worth Rs 7,00,000 involving duty/taxes amounting Rs 77381.

Customs Collector choudhary Zulifkar Ali received credible information regarding of foreign origin smuggled goods on which a team of ASO comprising Superintendent  Saeed Akhtar Joiya, Inspector Safdar Ali, Khalid Ashraf Noor, Driver Muhammad Khalid, and Sepoys Muhamad ishaq, Muhammad naeem, Muhammad yaseen, Javid iqbal, Muhammad Ashraf and others, was assigned task to seize the smuggled items.

Afghan route closure weighs on Pakistan-Central Asia trade, exports fall 9%, imports plunge 88%

ASO team raided near Shahkot Toll plaza Sheikhupura Road, Faisalabad and intercepted a Mazda truck bearing registration No, DNB, 3744 under section 157 of the customs act 1969 and recovered Electric Cable.

The ASO staff asked the accused persons named Zaheer abbas (driver) and Zeeshan Ali (Owner), to produce any documentary evidence showing the legal import and lawful possession of the said items.

They remained failed to produce any related documents on which customs took the items into custody and issued notice to accused persons. However ASO confiscated the goods and sent report to adjudication for further legal action.
