Faisalabad ASO confiscates generators, mini truck, shoes on smuggling charges

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Faisalabad has confiscated the already held items including a mini truck on charges of smuggling as no one appeared before the competent authority to prove the legal import of the items.

As per details, contraband items including 30 bags of coriander (sabit dhania) worth Rs 112,500, a generator of Honda brand worth Rs 35,000, a generator of 4KVA capacity worth Rs 500,000, 399 pairs of children shoes worth Rs 50,000 and a Hino Mini Truck bearing Registration No. TKW-896 worth Rs 500,000 had been taken into custody by ASO team as the driver could not produce the valid documents regarding the legal import of the vehicle.

It is important to mention here that consignment was booked by Asim Paracha through Al-Saad Goods Forwarding Agency, Rawalpindi.

The consignment was held by ASO team comprising Superintendent Zahid Bukhari, Inspector Safdar Ali, Mehmood Ahmad, Muhammad Naeem, Atta Muhammad, Hafiz Naseer and others.
