Faisalabad ASO confiscates items worth Rs 25m in June

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Faisalabad has seized smuggled items and non-duty paid vehicles worth Rs 25.77 million in June, 2015.

As per details, ASO team following the instructions of Collector Tauseef Ahmad Qureshi conducted various raids in the region to curb the activities pertaining to smuggling.

ASO impounded 11 vehicles including Mitsubishi Lancer, two Toyota Hilux Surf, Hino Truck, Toyota Mand Cruiser, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Hiace Van, Toyota Mand Cruiser, Toyota Crown Car, Mazda Mini Truck and others worth Rs 5.35 million.

Meanwhile, the customs seized miscellaneous contraband goods in month of June including black tea, polypropylene, printed and dyed cloth, pile fabrics, cumin seeds, used tyres, used flow meter for fuel dispenser, electric iron, generator, children shoes, metal cut off saw machine, LCDs, charging fan, sofa cloth, six cylinder of diesel engine valued at Rs 20.42 million.
