Faisalabad ASO confiscats smuggled silk cloth

FAISALABAD: The Anti Smuggling Organization Faisalabad conducted various operations against smugglers and confiscated foregin origin art silk cloth 10972 yards whose net weight is 900 kilograms and market value is Rs 2428400.

Sources told Customs Today custom collectorate Dr Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary received credible information regarding smuggling of above said items. After which he constituted ASO team comprising deputy collector Falik Shair Ali, Muhammad Javed Mehmood (superintendent), Sardar Muhammad (deputy superintendent), Masood Saeed Chohan, Abdul Jabbar (inspector), Muhammad Ashraf, Liaquat Ali Israr Ahmad and Muhammad Abdullah (sepoys).

The ASO team raided  a godown near Gattwala Toll Plaza Sheikhupura Road Faisalabad and seized the above said cloth. The ASO team asked accused person who was identified as Mohammad Anwar son of Muhammad Shafi to produce legal documents regarding possession of cloth but he failed to provide the same. The ASO seized foreign origin silk cloth and registered a case of smuggling.
