Faisalabad ASO impounds auto-parts & vehicle valued Rs03.3m

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has confiscated foreign origin imported auto parts. The market value of the seized auto parts is Rs732120 involving customs duty and taxes worth Rs244040 besides impounding of an ISUZU truck worth Rs02.5million. The total amount of the impounded auto-parts and truck is Rs03.3million.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Usman Tariq received a tip-off about the lying of smuggled auto parts on an identified place transported from Faisalabad to Rawalpindi. The party, headed by Inspector Tanveer-ul-Haq, intercepted the truck with registration No: TKX-439 and recovered the said used auto parts including HTV autos with hub 10 stud each (10-Unit), differential tube (1-unit), crown wheel HTV auto (1-Unit), front axle W/O hub HTV autos (7-Units) and spring leave HTV auto (10-Unit).

The ASO team comprises Inspectors Mehmood Ahmed Dogar, Khalid Akhtar Noor and Sepoys Muhammad Khalid, Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Naeem, Muhammad Javed and Naeemullah who take part in the operation.
