Faisalabad ASO impounds non-duty paid truck valued at Rs 2.5m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad impounded a non-duty paid Hino Truck worth Rs 2.5 million in Faisalabad.

As per details, a Hino Truck bearing Registration No. SBA-180 was intercepted by ASO team near Deputy Wala interchange, Faisalabad and asked the driver to produce any documentary evidence showing the legal import and lawful possession of the vehicle. But, the accused person namely Muhammad Shaban residence of Usmania Park Jaranwala, Faisalabad could not satisfy the customs officials due to not having any legal documents.

Moreover, the ASO team while examining the vehicle’s engine number and chassis number, also found the chassis number tampered with.

Therefore, ASO team including Superintendent Zahid Bukhari, Inspector Safder Ali, Mehmood and Ahmad Dogar impounded the Hino Truck under the prevailing customs law.
