Faisalabad ASO recovers foreign origin art silk cloth

FAISALABAD: Customs Faisalabad Anti Smuggling Organization confiscated foreign origin art silk cloth worth Rs 1213824 involving duty and taxes amounting to Rs 206912.

Sources told Customs Today Deputy Superintendent Customs Muhammad Javed Mehmood received credible information regarding smuggling of cloth. He immediately formed a customs team comprising Muhammad Javed Mehmood (Superintendent), Sardar Muhammad  (Deputy Superitendent)  Masood Saeed chohan, Abdul Jabbar (inspectors), Khalid Dogar, Zulifqar Ali Awan, Liaqat Ali, Israr Ahmad (sepoys).

The ASO team asked forwarding agency agent to produce any evidance regarding to its legal import and lawful posession. But he failed to produce the same. ASO team seized the cloth and forward the case to customs adjudication.
