FAISALABAD: Collectorate of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized huge quantity of betel nuts which were tactfully hidden in crockery stone.
Sources told Customs Today that after receiving credible information, ASO beefed up its surveillance and increased checking on all entry and exit points of city.
The team under the supervision of Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad intercepted 22 wheeler trailer bearing registration no: TLB-298 and recovered 200 bags filled with betel nuts worth Rs18 crore in the market. The ASO team seized the betel nuts and registered a case against the owner.
