Faisalabad ASO seizes non-duty paid alloy rims, fan’s radiators

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) faisalabad has confiscated smuggled alloy rims of vehicles and fan radiator worth Rs3,20,000 and registered a case against alleged smugglers.

Following the instruction of Collector Dr Zulifqar Ali Chaudhary, the ASO team launched a operation in the region under the supervision of Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad.

Sources told Customs Today, that the ASO team raided near kamalpur sargodha Road Faisalabad and intercepted a kohistan bus bearing registration number FDS-14-88.
During the search of the vehicles the official recovered foreign origin auto parts alloy rims (48- Nos), made in china and double fan radiator (8-nos), involving customs duty/taxes of Rs60,000.

Officials said that all said items were brought into the country without payment of duty/taxes causing loss to national kitty. The team asked the accused person Zaheer abbas son of Rifaqat Ali residential Taj Colony Sargodha Road faisalabad (owner) to produce legal documents but he remained failed to produce any evidence regarding the legal import of the items.

The ASO team consisting of Superintendent Saeed Akhtar joiya, Khalid Asraf Noor, Mehmood Ahmed Dogar, Ali Zahid (inspector) and sepoys Muhammad Khalid, Afzaal Hussain, Muhammad Naeem, Liaqat Ali, and Muhammad Ashraf participated in the raids.
