Faisalabad  ASO seizes non-duty paid cigarettes

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation ( ASO ) has seized smuggled cigarettes of different brand i.e.Pine, Milano, Malbaro and Dunhill brand worth Rs 158,760.

Sources told Customs Today that ASO Incharge Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan Khan along with his team comprising Superintendent Saeed Akhtar Joiya and inspectors Saeed Chohan, Khalid Ashraf Noor, Safsar Ali and others raided near Bilal Gunj market Sargodha Road Faisalabad and recovered 700 dandas of non-duty paid cigarettes, which were brought into the country without the payment of duty taxes causing loss to the national exchequer.

These non-duty paid cigarettes were being transported from Rawalpindi to Faisalabad through Kohistan Daewoo bus service bearing registration No. FDS- 111. The team also warned the driver Muhammad Amjad son of Muhammad Anwar of stern action if they found him involved in such crime in future.
