Faisalabad ASO seizes non-duty paid goods & vehicles worth Rs33m

FAISALABAD: Customs Collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organization seized huge quantity of foreign origin smuggled goods during the month of December.

Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig told Customs Today that anti-smuggling drive is on its full swing during the start of new year 2019. He told that ASO is using its all possible tools to stop all trends of smuggling within the region.

He said that during month of December, the ASO seized three offending vehicles used for carrying smuggled things worth Rs70,00,000 whereas ASO seized four non-duty paid (NDP) luxury vehicles worth Rs5,000,000.

ASO seized 700 kilograms of foreign origin cloth worth Rs600000 whereas 787 smuggled tyres and tubes worth Rs7210903. ASO seized 39000 liters of foreign origin Iranian diesel worth Rs33,90,000, foreign origin cigarettes 10000 dandas worth Rs943600 and also seized items worth Rs121820 kilograms.

Collector Mirza Mubashir said that ASO will expedite its efforts against smuggled goods under the guidance of Cheif Collector Zeba Hai Azhar.
