Faisalabad ASO seizes non-duty paid Honda car worth Rs 2.2 million

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad conducted various operations against smugglers and intercepted a non duty paid vehicle worth Rs 2,250,000 involving customs duty and taxes Rs 1,650,000.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan Khan constituted a team to curb smuggling attempts. The ASO team consisted Superintendent Saeed Akhtar Joiya, Inspectors Khalid Ashraf Noor, Ali Zahid ,Muhammad Ashraf, Liaquat Ali, Israr Ahmad and Sepoys Muhammad Abdullah.

The team intercepted a Honda car bearing registration Number ARS- 111 Sindh model 2004 in metallic colour near Faisal Gardan Canal Road.  The ASO team asked the driver of the vehicle to produce legal documents regarding possession of the vehicle but the driver failed to show any relevant documents.

After his failure ASO team impounded the vehicle and forward the cases to Customs Adjudication Faisalabad for legal action.
