FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized smuggled items worth Rs 1.799 million during the last three weeks of the current month.
Sources told Customs Today that the ASO team has impounded non-duty paid vehicles and others vehicles which were used in smuggling of illicit items.
As per detail, the ASO has registered only one case in the first week of January and confiscated 585 kilograms of foreign origin cloth worth Rs 400,000. While in the second week one case was registered against non-duty paid vehicle worth Rs 1,000,000.
Furthermore, ASO Faisalabad has registered three cases in the third week of January; these cases were registered against the accused who were involved in smuggling of cloths amounting to Rs 185,500.
