Faisalabad ASO seizes smuggled LED TV worth Rs 477,466.

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has confiscated smuggled LED TV of Sony brand worth Rs 477,466 involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 207,070 during an action

ASO Deputy Collector Muhammad Falik Shair received information regarding the smuggling attempt on which he formed a team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Javed Mehmood, Deputy Superintendent Sardar Muhammad, Inspector Masood Saeed Chohan, Abdul Jabbar, and sepoys Hafiz Naseer Ahmed, Muhammad Ashraf and Naeemullah to foil the smuggling bid.

The ASO team raided near Motorway Chowk Sargodha Road, Faisalabad and intercepted a bus bearing Registration No. LES-08-3116. The team recovered a smuggled LED TV from the bus and seized it as the driver named Imtiaz Qureshi and owner namely as Muhammad Wahab could not produce documents regarding its legal import.

The seizure report has been submitted to the adjudication department for further legally process.
