Faisalabad: Customs appraisement collects Rs1601.1m revenue in Q1

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Customs Appraisement has collected around Rs 1601.1 million in first quarter against the set target of Rs 2675.84 million.

According to statistical data available to Customs Today Faisalabad Customs collected revenue of Rs 231.79 million under the head of Customs duty in first quarter against the set target of Rs 901.52 million. Appraisement has collected 1304.03 million against the target of Rs 1647.42 million under the head of sales tax.

Moreover, Rs 41.27 million was collected against the target of Rs 125.77 million under the head of income tax. Customs appraisement collected 24.01 million as Federal Excise Duty (FED) against set target of 1.13 million.

He added that Faisalabad Customs appraisement has already send notices to number of tax defaulters in recent months to increase tax collection till end of December.
