Faisalabad Customs Appraisement posts 55% of surplus revenue during March

FAISALABAD: The Customs Appraisement Branch collected around Rs687.248million and displayed at least 55 percent of extra revenue during the month of March 2018 against the set target of Rs1242.79million.

According to an official data available with Customs Today, about Rs222.262million was generated under the head of Customs Duty (CD) in March against the allocated target of Rs383.08million. Under the head of Sales Tax (ST), the Customs Appraisement received Rs452.959million against the earmarked target of Rs844.85million.

Moreover, around Rs12.327million was collected as Income Tax (IT) in March against an assigned target of Rs13.28million. The Customs Appraisement collected Rs0.080million of Federal Excise Duty (FED) against a set target of Rs1.58 million.

Assistant Collector (AC) Import Ameer Ahmed said the Customs Faisalabad already issued notices to a number of tax defaulters in the recent months to increase the tax collections.
