Faisalabad Customs Appraisement surpasses target of February by Rs 532m

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement has surpassed the monthly revenue collection target by Rs 538.11 million, as it collected Rs 964.831 million against the target of Rs 426.72 million during February, 2016.

According to the data available with Customs Today, it collected Rs 138.863 million under the head of customs duty against the assigned target of Rs 125.6 million, besides collecting Rs 807.639 million in the wake of sales tax against the target of Rs 237.71 million.

Furthermore, the Faisalabad Customs generated Rs 18.329 million under the head of income tax against the set target of Rs 36.06 million, while it did not collect any amount in wake of federal excise duty against the target of Rs 426.72 million.

Additional Collector Saeed Asad said that Customs Appraisement has already sent notices to a number of tax defaulters in recent months to pay taxes.
