Faisalabad Customs collects Rs 156.8m in 7 months

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate has registered 137 cases of smuggling, besides collecting Rs 156.86 million during the first seven months (July-January) of the current fiscal year.

Officials said that Faisalabad Customs Collector Dr. Zulafiqar Ali Chaudhary has improved environment in all wings of the department due to which the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has shown a tremendous performance in terms of confiscating contraband items during the first seven months.

The customs has made 49 cases of non-duty paid vehicles and 88 cases of contraband goods during the said period.
