Faisalabad Customs confisticates Hino oil tanker worth Rs 5m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation team has seized non-duty paid Hino oil tanker worth Rs 5 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Senior Intelligence Officer Zahid Saleem Mirza received information regarding the smuggling of oil tanker. He formed a raiding team comprising Muhammad Yousaf Mian (IO),  Tajamal Haq and Muzamil Hussain.

The custms team intercepted the oil tanker bearing registration No. SWN-020 model 2005 near Sumundri Road. The customs team asked the owner of the vehicle who was identified as Muhammad Latif son of Muhammad Sharif to produce legal documents regarding possession of the vehicle but he failed to provide any relevant document. The customs team seized the vehicle and registered a case against the vehicle owner.
