LAHORE: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad has foiled a bid to smuggle foreign cigarettes and arrested the accused.
As per details, on a tip-off, the customs I&I established a check post to stop smuggling of cigarettes. At the check post the customs officers intercepted a car and a bus and found foreign cigarettes worth Rs 6.5 million.
An official told Customs Today that the accused has been arrested and a case has been lodged against him. The Customs has confiscated the car and bus.
