Faisalabad Customs generates Rs 58.62m through auctions

FAISALABAD: Collectorate of Customs generated Rs58.62 million during the eleven months of current year through auctions of smuggled goods and vehicles.

Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad told Customs Today that the performance of customs auction cell remained satisfactory in this period.

He said that through auction of goods, the Collectorate managed to bag handsome amount that would help a lot in meeting the annual revenue collection target of the Collectorate. He said that during the month of November, Rs8.551 million were collected through the auction of goods and vehicles.

He said that with the guidance of Collector Asif Mahmood Jah, the auction cell was working efficiently and collecting a handsome amount especially through the auction of goods. He hoped to collect satisfactory revenue during the rest of the months of the current financial year.
