Faisalabad Customs generates Rs 2.425m through auction in May

FAISALABAD: The Customs Collectorate authorities collected Rs 2.425 million through auction of smuggled goods during the month of May 2016. The auction was held on the premises of Customs Collectorate Park Dry Port.

Sources told Customs Today that 96 items were offered for auction but only five items attracted suitable prices. The remaining lots were rejected by the bidders.

The items which were presented for auction includes foreign origin cloth, Indian black tea, auto parts, fax machine and referegator, smuggled ceramic tiles, Toyota Hilux Surf, Toyota Mark-X car, Toyota Hiace van and others differents types of  vehicles.

Sources said only one vehicle Toyota Mark-X  was sold with suitable price, while others Lots were generated by selling different smuggled goods.
