FAISALABAD: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation auction cell generated Rs 22.77 million through the public auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods during the month of May.
Sources told Customs Today that during May auction cell collected handsome revenue through auctions of non-duty paid vehicles and smuggled goods adding that the customs stations which falls under the jurisdiction of Customs Range Office Faisalabad includes Sargodha, Sara e Muhajir seized the smuggled items brought into Country without payment of customs duty and taxes.
Faisalabad Intelligence held auctions of smuggled goods and vehicles separately but all the revenue collection transferred in the account of MCC Faisalabad at the end.
There were different models of vehicles and others large number of smuggled goods presented in the auction of Customs for public sale. People from various cities have participated in the auction for purchase of goods and vehicles.
