FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation impounded a non-duty paid mini truck bearing registration no: FSC-5822 worth Rs1.5 million under section 157(2) of Custom Act 1969.
Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat received credible information that a non-duty paid truck is plying on the roads of Faisalabad. He immediately constituted a raiding team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, Muhammad Irshad and Sepoys Ajmal Hussain and Muhammad Musaddiq Ahmad.
The customs staff intercepted the truck near Pensra City on Jhang Road. The vehicle was coming from Lahore to Faisalabad.
The Customs intelligence team asked the driver who was identified as Muhammad Rasheed to produce legal documents of the truck but he failed to provide the same. The customs team seized the truck and registered a case against its owner.
