Faisalabad Customs impounds non-duty paid Hino truck near Jhang Road‏

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigations seized a Hino truck bearing registration no: TKW-542 model 1997 near Shorkot city district Jhang. The market value of the truck is Rs6 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigations Rana Irfan Shouqat received credible information about some non-duty paid vehicles.

After receiving the tip off deputy Director constituted a raiding team comprising Intelligence Officer Muhammad Saleem, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, Intelligence Officer Muhammad Nasrullah, Havaldar Muhammad Naeem Niazi,  Sepoy Muhammad Shahbaz and Zeeshan Farooq.

The raiding team intercepted the vehicle and asked driver Ghulam Nabi who is a resident of Quetta to produce legal documents regarding possession of the vehicle but he failed to provide the same.

Upon his failure customs party seized the truck and registered a case against its owner while further proceedings are still in progress.
