FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation impounded a non-duty paid Honda Civic car worth Rs 1.5 million during road checking here on Friday.
Sources told Customs Today, that the customs officials received secret information that a non-customs paid Honda Civic bearing registration number AHZ-512 Sindh is plying on roads in Faisalabad.
Soon after receiving the information a customs team started examining documents of vehicles. The customs intercepted a Honda Civic car and asked its driver Abdul Rashid to produce legal documents regarding the possession of vehicle but he failed to provide any relevant documents. After his failure the Customs team seized the vehicle and registered a case against its owner. The seizure report forwarded to Customs Adjudication for further legal action.
