FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation confiscated 1150 kilogram of jersey fabric worth Rs 600,000 involving duty/taxes Rs 265,330 from Faisalabad.
The Customs Intelligence team comprising Intelligence Officer Asghar Mehdi Naqvi and Sepoy Zulfiqar Ali Awan and Shoukat Hayat intercepted a Mazda truck bearing Registration No. LES-2083 near Shahkot Toll Plaza Sheikhpura Road, Faisalabad and recovered 46 rolls of cloth.
The team confiscated the cloth considering it smuggled one after the legal formalities as the accused person named Muhammad Yasin could not show documents regarding the legal import of the cloth.
The Customs Intelligence has sent the report to adjudication department for further legal action.
